This is an interesting extension of crowd sourcing, and has parallels with the Japanese trend for unique book covers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rogerdennis.com\/ideaport\/?p=53\">I wrote about previously<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It also is a perfect example of type of thing that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rogerdennis.com\/ideaport\/?p=50\">this HBS article <\/a>refers to : <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>For user innovation to be a force, the cost of creating a new design must be within the reach of a single user, whose reward is solely the improvement of his or her own experience.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Have a look at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.penguin.co.uk\/static\/cs\/uk\/0\/minisites\/mypenguin\/index.html#gallery\">gallery that Penguin has created<\/a> so that people can upload their own cover art.
